NFL Week 7

As often seems to be the case, the Thursday Night Football did not disappoint. Two wily old quarterbacks – both aged 40 – produced a 64-point thriller, with the Bengals delighting their fans with a 33-31 win over the Steelers. It was the hosts’ Joe Flacco who managed to guide his troops home, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns.

London’s run of three consecutive games ended with a clash at Wembley between the Rams and the Jaguars and it was a one-sided affair the former won 35-7. Matthew Stafford completed five touchdown passes in a dominant display by him.

Losses for the Dolphins and Titans against Cleveland and New England respectively saw both of them slump to 1-6, while Kansas City recorded a shutout against the Raiders, winning 31-0. It was a much closer match between the Giants and the Broncos, the latter, with home-field advantage, edging that one 33-32. Other high-scoring games saw the Colts beat the Chargers 38-24, the Cowboys win in Dallas against Washington 44-22, and the Packers see off the Cardinals 27-23.
